This release contains the latest version of these community web parts:
- Content By Type (WSS and MOSS)
The Content By Type web part is a SharePoint web part that aggregates content of a specific content type into a view. Much like the Content Query web part, but easier to use by end-users. They just need to select the content type and the columns they want to be displayed. The webpart queries the site (or site collection) for items. Webpart support a gridview (paging, sorting, grouping) and a calendar view.
- List Item Filter (WSS and MOSS)
The List Item Filter web part is a SharePoint Filter web part that you can use to filter SharePoint content based on the values of a specific field in a SharePoint list. Options are shown in a dropdownlist, radiobutton list, checkbox list or tag cloud. The list of available options can be filtered using any other filter web part.
- Page Column Filter (MOSS)
This web part is an improved verion of the SharePoint Page Field Filter Web Part. This version can be used to provide a filter to connected consumer webparts, loaded from a lookup field or a person or group field.
- User Info Filter (WSS and MOSS)
The User Info Filter web part gets a property of the current logged-on user and provides that as filter to connected web parts. The web part allows you to select which property to send as filter value. The web part can also receive a filter value. This value is used to locate a user in the User Information List and send the property value of that user to connected filter consumers.
- Web Context Filter (WSS and MOSS)
This SharePoint filter web part passes a property of the current web as filter value. It can send property values of the current web, it's parent web and/or the root web. A fixed number of properties of the site, such as Title, Url, Current User, Author, Owner, etc. is supported. Besides that, it supports properties from the property bag of the site.
